In 2008, David Lambert and Ian Walker, both management consultants in London, faced a common urban challenge: finding a convenient and reliable laundry service that accommodated their demanding schedules. Limited operating hours, lack of drop-off facilities, and inconsistent customer service highlighted a gap in the market. Recognizing this, they envisioned a solution tailored to the needs of busy professionals

By 2009, LaundryRepublic was established, introducing a seamless, technology-driven laundry experience. Starting with 24/7 locker-based services in residential and office buildings, the company quickly gained traction for its reliability and convenience. In 2015, to accommodate growing demand, LaundryRepublic built one of London’s most advanced eco-friendly cleaning facilities, expanding it to over 11,000 sq ft by 2020.​
